The present work analyzes territorial vulnerability in Haiti, highlighting the environmental, political, and social crises responsible for most of the population's spatial weakening and precarious assistance structures. Due to its natural geography and the historical particularities of its socio-spatial formation, the Haitian territory is one of the most vulnerable in Latin America and the world. Reasons for such a situation include the harmful effects of natural geological and climatic events and external interventions in the Haitian economy and politics.

Resumo: O presente artigo tem como objetivo analisar o processo de especialização territorial produtiva ocasionada pelo agronegócio sucroenergético e compreender como esse evento resulta em vulnerabilidade econômica dos municípios brasileiros que participam de sua produção, sobretudo aqueles que possuem pequenas cidades.

This article investigates the everyday interactions between highly capitalized firms operating within the Tema Free Zone (TFZ) in Ghana and low-capital street food vendors working in and around the enclave. Drawing on Milton Santos’s theory of the two circuits of the urban economy, it examines how industrial production and informal food vending are dialectically articulated – functionally interdependent yet structurally asymmetrical.

The Grande River stands out in the landscape of Northeast Brazil as one of the main tributaries of the São Francisco River - the largest river exclusively Brazilian, which supplies water to a significant portion of the country's northeast, a predominantly semi-arid region. Despite its notable natural, social, and economic importance, the Grande River lacks sufficient geomorphological and geochronological studies to provide a reliable landscape reconstruction over the past millennia.

This article examines the relations between the Atlantis Special Economic Zone (ASEZ) and the urban economy of Atlantis, South Africa, with particular attention to the Witsand neighbourhood. Drawing on Milton Santos' theory of the two circuits of the urban economy, the study explores how the upper circuit of greentech industries within the ASEZ interacts with the lower circuit of less capitalised commercial and service activities in Witsand.

The Project for the Integration of the São Francisco River with the Hydrographic Basins of the Northern Northeast represents a strategic intervention for the water security of the Brazilian semi-arid region. This study aims at the geoenvironmental characterization of the municipalities of the states of Rio Grande do Norte, Ceará and Paraíba benefited by the Apodi Branch (North Axis).
