The Professional
Bachelor's Degree - Can carry out reconnaissance, surveys, physical-geographical, biogeographical, anthropogeographical and geo-economic studies, as well as general and special studies in the field of Geography, such as the reconnaissance of regions, natural resources, watershed management, ecosystems, territorial, urban and rural planning and environmental studies. They can also work as university professors.
Teaching Degree - Undergraduates with a degree in Geography are qualified to work in educational institutions, both school and non-school, both in the field of teaching, as a basic education teacher, and in other dimensions of educational work. This professional training includes investigative experience as well as reflection on the political and cultural aspects of educational action.
Professional Practice
Federal Law 6664 of June 26, 1979 regulates the exercise of the profession. Federal Decree 85138 of 15/09/1980 regulates this law.
Integralization
AA - Bachelor's Degree in Geography
In order to graduate from this course, the student must obtain a total of 201 credits, corresponding to 3015 hours of supervised activities, in addition to dedicating 45 hours to distance activities, making a total of 3060 hours, which can be completed in 08 semesters (Full-time Geography) or 10 semesters (Evening Geography), according to the proposal offered by the unit for completing the full curriculum, with the maximum completion period being 12 semesters (Full-time Geography) or 16 semesters (Evening Geography).
AB - Teaching Degree in Geography
To graduate from this course, the student must obtain a total of 243 credits, corresponding to 3645 hours of supervised activities, which can be completed in 08 semesters (Full-time Geography) or 10 semesters (Evening Geography), according to the proposal offered by the unit for completing the full curriculum, with the maximum completion time being 12 semesters (Full-time Geography) or 16 semesters (Evening Geography).
